I have a doctorate in Computer Science, and a career that has
spanned the gamut from academia and NASA, to defense contracts, to the big
names in Silicon Valley. At various times I have worked on everything from surveillance
and search to cryptography and privacy, video understanding to video games, big
data learning to data compression. Plus lots and lots of robots.
Somewhere in the middle, the vast data of politics caught my
eye. Starting with Bush 43, I started really paying attention to the polls and
predicting the results. Having done very well in the past three presidential
elections, I whole-heartedly accept the unique challenges of this year’s race.
